Josh Myerson is Head of Advisory at Montagu Evans and oversees the firm’s Commercial & Residential Valuation, Rating, Development, Asset, and Strategic Advisory teams.
In addition, Josh continues to head up the Rating business and is responsible for leading a 45+ team based in London, Manchester and Scotland.
Widely regarded as a genuine industry leader, he specialises in providing rating appeal & consultancy advice tailored to the specific needs of Landlord and Developer clients. He has a particular focus on prime, large-scale Central London developments, as well as a number of specialised property types such as Film Studios, Infrastructure and luxury retail
Josh is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (FRICS), an Honours Member of the Institute of Revenues Rating & Valuation (IRRV Hons) and is a Past President of the Rating Surveyors’ Association (RSA). He was President from 2020-2022, Vice President in 2019 and 2020, Honorary Secretary of the Association between 2015 and 2019, and has served on the Committee since 2013.
He is an Associate member of the policy committee of the British Property Federation (BPF) and a founding member of the London Rating Network (LRN).
He is one of a handful of RICS Rating Diploma Holders operating in private practice, a longstanding member of the Section’s Committee and Education Subcommittee and teaches two modules (Rental Valuation and Practice & Procedure) on the Diploma course. He took the role of Chair of the Section in 2024/25.
