    Focused on affordable housing viability and residential development consultancy, Will specialises in the preparation of Financial Viability Assessments on behalf of developers and landowners. These assessments, prepared as part of planning applications, justify the level of affordable housing contributions that a development can support. Following submission of these assessments to the local authority, Will enters into negotiations so that an agreement with regards to affordable housing is reached.

    Will is very experienced in the financial modelling of residential and mixed-use developments, the basis of the Benchmark Land Value (a key comparator in Financial Viability Assessments), affordable housing policy, the preferences of Registered Providers, and the mechanics of Section 106 Agreements.

    Will is a RICS Registered Valuer and prepares Red Book Valuations for residential and mixed-use development sites on behalf of lenders and borrowers. His experience of development appraisals means he also provides feasibility advice at the design stage in order to optimise a scheme. Will’s client base includes major housebuilders, private developers, property companies and Registered Providers.
