Myles O’Brien is a Partner in the Business Rates team at Montagu Evans, where he leads the firm’s Occupier team. He specialises in advising a wide range of independent and national occupiers, with experience spanning every rating list since 1995. His expertise covers office, industrial, retail, and leisure properties.

Myles has been at the forefront of the valuation of film studios for rating purposes and played a leading role in negotiations with the Valuation Office Agency for the 2023 Rating List.

Prior to joining Montagu Evans, Myles led the national rating team at Aitchison Raffety and was also Head of the Commercial Bulk Property team at GL Hearn, where he advised clients with large and complex property portfolios.

He currently serves as President of the Rating Surveyors’ Association.
