Since joining Montagu Evans in 2012, David has developed a niche for advising clients on strategic planning and design matters in relation to development in the historic environment or with sensitive receptors.

He is a Chartered Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute, an Affiliate of the Institute of Historic Building Conservation and a Recognised Practitioner in Urban Design with experience across a range of planning issues, with particular expertise in heritage and townscape.

David has the necessary skill set to understand the important aspects required to achieve planning permission and listed building consent. He works on a range of schemes, from private single householder restoration through to large estate regeneration.

David often provides advice on the design and detailed approach to historic building works and/or new development in historic areas. He also advises on the development of tall and large buildings, which regularly requires the preparation of various assessments.
