Montagu Evans has reported another year of revenue and profit growth, with all three of its fee-earning departments growing in the year ended 31 March 2026.

Revenue from continuing operations increased by 7% to £56.4m, while continuing statutory profit increased by 6% to £14m. Growth was driven by strong performances across the firm’s Planning, Advisory and Commercial & Agency teams, with notable increases in activity in rating, development, commercial planning, housing and land, industrial and logistics, and retail and leisure.

Montagu Evans also strengthened its financial position during the year, repaying all external debt and leaving the business debt free at year end. Following the reporting period, the firm secured a new £5m revolving credit facility, providing additional flexibility to invest in future growth. The firm continued to invest in its people, with total bonus pools available to staff and equity partners increasing by 22%, including an 18% increase in staff bonus awards.

This year saw continued investment in talent, resulting in 51 promotions across the firm. Its leadership was also strengthened through a number of key appointments during the year, including:

  • Julie Morrison, Non-Executive Director
  • Anna Lind, Director of Business Development and Marketing, who joined from RPC
  • Tim Price, Head of Commercial Planning, who joined from Savills

The results build on a period of strategic repositioning for the business under Managing Partner Alan Harris who has now been in post for 18 months. The firm is focused on four conviction areas in which it sees significant opportunity for future growth: Central London, Public Sector, Residential and Industrial & Logistics, which sit at the heart of the Montagu Evans growth plan.

Significant instructions across these areas have included major regeneration, infrastructure and public sector projects, from Network Rail’s Bow Goods Yard and London Borough of Newham’s Royal Albert Dock, through to advisory work for the Ministry of Defence’s new drone testing facility and Jastar Capital’s City of London Custom House.

Alan Harris, Managing Partner at Montagu Evans, said:

“These results demonstrate the value our clients place on the breadth of expertise across the firm and are a testament to a focus on pursuing our convictions. Despite complex market conditions, we have grown both revenue and profit, with growth across all three of our fee-earning departments. Increasingly, our clients need planning, advisory and transactional expertise brought together to solve complex problems and unlock opportunity. That is where Montagu Evans is at its best.

“We enter the next phase from a position of strength. We are debt free, we are investing in our people and we have a clear strategy for growth. We have real momentum and the ambition and confidence to keep investing in the opportunities ahead.”

Salaried partner hires from the year ended 31 March 2026 have been Peter Jacob, Valuation; Christian Glazier, Valuation; and James Salmon, Industrial and Logistics.
