Key information
Montagu Evans’ heritage team were instructed to assess the significance of a historic gas infrastructure (gasholders and associated equipment) across the National Grid portfolio.
This allowed National Grid to assess the planning risk associated with each site, and to establish a portfolio-wide heritage strategy linked to the redevelopment of sites across England, and developed in conjunction with the designation and planning teams at Historic England.
