PUBLIC CONSULTATION FOR NBD ADDIEWELL
The North British Distillery Company are progressing with plans for the expansion of their whisky maturation warehouse storage facility at Addiewell, West Calder, EH55 8NT.
We are keen to engage with local stakeholders on the plans for the site to the existing facility on land allocated in the West Lothian Local Development Plan as employment land (ref: E-AD 1) for Class 6 storage and distribution uses.

The Proposed Development area sits within the existing site, naturally bounded by an existing mature tree line which offers visual and acoustic screening to the proposed warehousing.
The North British Distillery Company Ltd is looking to create two new warehouses within this area to provide ongoing support to their existing business operations.
The development is an expansion of The North British Distillery Company’s storage provision within the existing site and comprises of:
- 2 New Warehouses
- Electric forklift charging hub
- Infrastructure and landscaping
A Proposal of Application Notice (PAN) has been submitted to West Lothian Council in respect of the proposal. We are now keen to hear the views of the local community.

However, commenting at this time does not prevent you from making further comments, as there will be an opportunity for representations to be submitted to West Lothian Council on any future planning application relating to this proposed development.
