PLACEMAKING AND PARTNERSHIPS: THE FUTURE OF TRANSPORT WITH NETWORK RAIL

Why do we use train stations? This is one of the big questions we explored with Network Rail as we look at the strategy to make a station a mixed-use destination in our towns and cities.

We needed to look at stations from a community point of view and how they can support a wider community use, particularly with the change in passenger demand post-COVID. It’s not just what happens inside but, more importantly, within the wider area, and the role of placemaking and partnerships to achieve this is so important.
