Public Consultation for Dalkeith Country Park, Midlothian

The MDS Estates Ltd are progressing plans for the “Proposed holiday accommodation development including communal facilities to create multi-day visitor destination; formation of access, landscaping and associated works” at Land at Cat Haugh, Dalkeith Country Park, EH22 1ST.

A Proposal of Application Notice (PAN) has been submitted to Midlothian Council in respect of the proposal. We are now keen to hear the views of the local community and will be updating this page with further information in due course.

CONSULTATION EVENTS

We will be hosting two public consultation events.

Public Consultation Event 1

The first event is on the following date, with the details of the second event to be updated in due course:

Where: Dalkeith Library, 2 White Hart Street, Dalkeith, EH22 1AE

When: Thursday 3 October 2024 from 3pm to 7pm

The proposal boards for the first consultation event will be available to view at the venue from 3pm or HERE. Feedback forms will also be available to download. We intend to accept comments until 18th October 2024.

Public Consultation Event 2

The details of the second event can be found below: –

Where: The Loft, Dalkeith Country Park, Dalkeith, EH22 1ST

When: Wednesday 6th November 2024 from 3pm to 7pm

The proposal boards for the second public consultation event will be available to view at the venue from 3pm or HERE. Feedback forms will also be available to download. We intend to accept comments until 22nd November 2024.

However, commenting at this time does not prevent you from making further comments, as there will be an opportunity for representations to be submitted to Midlothian Council on any future planning application relating to this proposed development. No personal details will be given out in any consultation report prepared to accompany our application for planning permission for this site. Any feedback received will not be attributable to any specific individual.
