Francois-Downey is a Sustainability Manager

Mathilde has worked her entire career in sustainability and ESG. She has most recently supported private sector real estate investment clients with ESG programme development, implementation and disclosure. Prior to this, she supported clients in the delivery of environmental impact assessments for infrastructure projects.

Mathilde joined Montagu Evans in 2023 where her role is to support the business lines to enhance integration of sustainability advice into client-facing services; and to deliver its internal sustainability strategy, including its net zero carbon commitment and pathway.

Key skills

• Sustainability strategy – Development of a strategic vision and approach to ESG. Senior leadership and wider stakeholder engagement and workshopping, peer analysis, market research, strategy documentation writing
• Implementation – Managing sustainability programme delivery across the property lifecycle, engaging a breadth of stakeholders (e.g. fund, asset, property, facilities managers). Set-up and maintenance of sustainability delivery tools (e.g. ESG due diligence checklist, asset action plans, property management ESG requirements)
• Sustainability reporting – Management of large sustainability data collection and monitoring programmes. Internal quarterly performance monitoring and reporting. External reporting in line with GRESB, EPRA, INREV. Net zero carbon targets and pathway development (fund and asset level)
• Compliance management – Support with Environmental Management System (EMS) certification to ISO 1400
• Training – Development and delivery of sustainability training sessions, tailored to the audience (e.g., investment management to property management)
