Night Time Economy Summit 20 May 2026

How could the built environment be improved to support London’s nighttime economy?

In partnership with the Westminster LGBT+ Forum, join us on Wednesday, 20 May 2026 at Montagu Evans, for an in-depth exploration of how London can strengthen and future-proof its nighttime economy through better design, planning, and management of the built environment.

This evening event brings together leading voices from policy, business, planning, and community sectors to share expert insights on what makes nighttime spaces thrive. Attendees will hear from specialists working at the heart of London’s night sector and will take part in an interactive discussion that looks at how internal and external spaces can be improved to support a vibrant, safe, and accessible city after dark.

The panel will be chaired by Pippa Catterall, Co-Chair of the Westminster LGBT+ Forum, who will guide a conversation that spans business needs, policy challenges, and cultural considerations.

The session will open with scene-setting remarks from Silvana Kill, Co-Head of the Night Time Industries Association, who will outline current priorities for London’s night sector and the opportunities that lie ahead.

Guests will then hear short provocations from each panellist (listed further down the page), followed by collaborative group discussions that explore two big questions:

  • How can internal spaces be designed and used more effectively at night, with a focus on accessibility and flexibility
  • How can external environments support nighttime activity through better streetscape design, improved safety, and thoughtful public realm planning

The event will close with reflections from the panel and an open networking session.

This is a unique opportunity for planners, policymakers, designers, business owners, and community advocates to connect and shape ideas for London’s nighttime future. Fill in the form below to sign-up.
