Marchmont Investment acquired a 53,000 sqft warehouse in Orpington with vacant possession. They then embarked on a significant refurbishment programme. During this, Montagu Evans successfully identified a local occupier who were looking to relocate from their existing facility. A record rent for the area of £14 psf was achieved and the investment sold for twice what our client originally paid for it.
Montagu Evans also secured planning permission at appeal for a Wickes store to jointly serve the B8 and retail market, although it was decided not to implement this.
