Montagu Evans has been appointed by Westminster City Council’s development team to provide independent planning advice in relation to the redevelopment of sites within the Church Street masterplan area for a mix of civic office, retail, community and residential uses.
Part of the site has an extant planning permission which is currently being implemented. Montagu Evans is advising on the planning strategy for the integration of these sites and how to achieve the Council’s aspirations for the Church Street area.
The proposal raises a number of issues relating to scale and massing, heritage, residential amenity, public realm and community uses. The development will potentially create a series of new public spaces to enhance the area, a Council services / community hub and new affordable housing.
