Montagu Evans LLP require an Artworker with approximately 3-5 years relevant work experience to assist with an expanding workload. Initially this will be on a flexible, part-time basis, for two days per week. The successful candidate would also be required to cover annual leave taken by the current Senior Artworker, subject to availability. There is potential for the role to extend, subject to demand.

About the role

The role is within a busy practice of established professionals in the Planning and Development Department in London. This opportunity is within our sector-leading Heritage and Townscape team, providing advice on a wide range of high-profile projects where contextual analysis, design and visual impact are critical to the planning process. The team comprises 18 specialists as part of 70 professionals in the wider department.

At present, the team is assisted by a Senior Artworker. The successful candidate would provide support and assistance to the Senior Artworker, whilst managing their own workload. They will therefore need to be organised, self-motivated and confident preparing large reports using Adobe software, incorporating text and images. In addition, they would be required to prepare diagrams, and maps using QGIS, for which training will be provided.

The candidate must be proficient in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat. It is also desirable, although not essential, to have an understanding of Wordsflow and GIS software. Opportunities to learn new software, including VuCity, will be available. Montagu Evans use a Microsoft Windows operating platform.

About you

Core technical skills using Windows platform:

  • Exemplary InDesign knowledge;
  • Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat proficiency;
  • Understanding of Wordsflow, QGIS (mapping) and/or VuCity software desirable, but not essential.

Key skills:

  • Ability to lay out large reports using Adobe software;
  • Accuracy and attention to detail;
  • Professional approach to time management;
  • Proof evading to produce accurate and high quality work.
