Sam believes in providing sound planning advice that delivers solutions which achieve political and public consensus. Through his work on major public inquiries such as Doon Street Tower and Springfield University Hospital he also understands that there are occasions when confrontation cannot be avoided and robust planning strategies are called for to take developments forward. He has expertise in Section 106 negotiations and has advised on complex Community Infrastructure Levy liabilities. His excellent negotiation skills have been developed through his involvement in complex development projects where a good working relationship with project teams and a close collaboration with developers and local authorities is essential.
