Howard has recently joined the Development Consulting and Agency team at Montagu Evans. Howard specialises in providing development consultancy and agency advice for a Public Sector client base.
Howard’s strengths focuses on helping his clients through complex development scenarios from project inception through to cash in the bank. The aim of his work is often to help make cost savings on aged estate and using his client’s real estate as a business enabler to streamline their operational strategies to help fund new fit for purpose building. At the same time he is also involved in helping his clients to enhance the value of disused real estate to secure best value for the Public Purse. Howard therefore is often involved with the development of estate strategies and identifying opportunities which are then prepared and taken to the market. This also means that Howard is often involved with the development of Outline and Full Business Cases which go to the Treasury to justify the rationale on how a project can be delivered.
In addition to the bigger picture strategy work, he is also very focussed on the detail as this where in development scenarios value can be gained. Howard is adept at providing advice on S106 negotiations as well as issues relating restrictive covenants and defects in title which impact on the value of real estate.
