A Scottish themed café is due to open imminently in Motherwell Shopping Centre. Co-proprietors Derek Duffy and Arlene Green, who have an extensive background in catering, will offer a range of traditional homemade healthy Scottish dishes in a modern café environment, available to sit in or to take-away.
Trading as Hard Jock Café, Duffy and Green have taken a 10 year FRI lease of 65 Brandon Parade South. The deal follows recent lettings in Motherwell Shopping Centre to The Works and Warren James Jewellers. The shopping centre is now 96% fully let and has an annual footfall approaching 5 million per annum.
Ian Knight of Edinburgh House Estates, which is the Asset Manager of Motherwell Shopping Centre, said: “We are delighted to welcome Hard Jock Café to the centre and believe that their culinary offer will appeal to shoppers and locals alike.”
Gavin Anderson, Partner at Montagu Evans, which are retained letting agent for the landlord, said: “This lease sits in-line with Edinburgh House Estates’ wider commercial strategy for the Motherwell Shopping Centre; Hard Jock Café will be a welcome addition to this popular retail destination, offering shoppers the very best of Scottish cuisine.”
