Planning permission and listed building consent granted at committee on 3rd October for the part-redevelopment of a 1.11ha site on the corner of General Gordon Square.
The proposals will provide 298 dwellings, leisure and entertainment facilities, a dance school and a mix of shops, restaurants and office uses, with associated parking and servicing arrangements, amenity and open space.
The site comprised several locally listed and statutorily listed buildings to be retained, which provided both constraints and opportunities for the scheme. The development was also in the setting of the nearby Grade II* Town Hall.
