Acting on behalf of Azzurri Group Ltd, Montagu Evans has sublet Unit C1 at The Quay Leisure Park at Springfield Quay in Glasgow to JG Scotland Ltd, who have a Creams Café franchise.
The Creams Café concept, which is an American style parlour that specialises in Italian gelato and desserts, started back in 2008. Creams’ menu includes a range of ice cream desserts, sundaes, smoothies, juices, coffees and waffles. Each store is fitted in a 1950’s retro American genre with a distinctive purple and black colour scheme and trendy lighting that adds to the experience.
JG Scotland Ltd has taken a 14-year coterminous sublease of the unit, which extends to 3,277 sq ft (304 sq m) at a rental of £60,000 pax. The unit, which has an extensive curved glazed frontage, overlooks the River Clyde and has outside seating areas. It sits alongside Nando’s, The Counter and The Alea Casino at The Quay Leisure Park.
Chris Parker, Head of Franchising at Creams Café, said: “We currently have 48 stores trading across the UK, with a further 50 in the pipeline. This will be our first site in Scotland and we chose The Quay because of it is one of Glasgow’s leading leisure destinations.”

We believe that Creams Café will trade really well at The Quay. Their concept appeals to all age groups and has a synergy with other eateries and leisure venues on the park, including the bowling and cinema in particular.”
Creams Café is expected to open in the autumn.
