Watching historic buildings come to life again

This week has been a busy one here in property management as two of our clients have decided to embark on large scale renovations of their properties.

These are particularly complex projects as the buildings involved are prestigious historic buildings centrally located in Mayfair and the East End. This means we have to ensure that the clients plans are compliant with their legal obligations and at the same time as advise them on how to ensure efficient use of their asset. It also results in having to justify to tenants why the works are taking place and negotiate solutions to address their concerns over issues such as access and noise.

Despite this, these projects are proving to be hugely enjoyable as it allows me to meet numerous personal involved and really develop an in-depth knowledge of the building. In addition to this I am able to walk around an architecturally outstanding buildings that have been little used since their heyday and see them gradually come to life again.
