I am nearly at the end of my fourteenth week at Montagu Evans in the planning team. I cannot believe how fast the last three months have gone. Since then, I have been given more responsibilities and have been able to work in direct contact with clients. A few weeks ago, I completed a retail study on my own, across ten town centres around Woking. It was great to be given the responsibility and to complete the report for the client. The responsibility and exposure to new projects is a fantastic way for new graduates to develop their skills and this is something Montagu Evans should be proud of.
Two weeks ago I had my first job review! It was helpful and insightful to gain feedback from partners so early on into my graduate scheme, and to be able to ask questions in a friendly and relaxing environment. This week I will be attending a CPD event at the Museum of London with other graduates. The lecture will be given by the ex CEO of the then English Heritage, and will cover the contentious issue of ‘housebuilding and heritage’. This event will help me to build upon my professional development, whilst spending a fun and social evening with my fellow colleagues.
Next week is the annual office Christmas party. I am looking forward to Montagu Evan’s famous night out and to celebrate the success of this year with the team.
