So far March has been a hectic month and I have been incredibly busy, mainly with application submissions. This included two different residential schemes in High Wycombe and Chelmsford, both for 14 units.
For Chelmsford, we were tasked with writing the Planning Statement for submission and for High Wycombe we were required to collate and submit the full planning application. It was interesting to work on a couple of schemes outside of London and in the home counties and it was my first planning submission made on a major residential scheme.
Following the collating of all of the evidence for the appeal (as mentioned in my last blog), we proceeded to submit it along with all other documents to the Planning Inspectorate. As part of this I assisted in the writing of the Statement of Case which summarised the development proposals and its assessment against the relevant policies.
I also attend an interesting site visit with the client and architect at a former department store in the London Borough of Lewisham. It was interesting to look around the extensive building and consider the opportunities and constraints for potential redevelopment into residential.
