The highlight of the remaining couple of weeks before the break for Christmas was receiving the decision notice for my first application, submitted back in early November. The outcome was an approval which is great. In the run up to Christmas, a number of other applications were submitted so a few more decision notices will be received next month.
The whole office has been extremely busy before Christmas as everyone wants tasks completed before the break. Everyone has been working hard and it has been a challenge to juggle all the projects that I’ve been working, tying up loose ends and chasing people to make sure applications and pre-app applications are submitted.
I also attended my first Planning Committee meeting whilst with Montagu Evans where the change of use scheme from office to gym in Islington was approved.
The department got into the festive spirit by wearing snazzy and festive Christmas Jumpers for Christmas Jumper Day and raised some money for Save The Children.
Its now been three and half months since the first day of the job, back in September. I have learnt an extraordinary amount over that time and am fortunate enough to have worked on many interesting projects.
