Several weeks ago I completed some speculative work for one of the partner's at Montagu Evans, Will Edmonds and this week that work has turned into a live project.
I attended a meeting with Will and the client to discuss the proposed option for the site which is likely to be a residential scheme in Bromley. It's good to know our hard work paid off and the client has chosen us to progress as their chosen planning consultants.
On Thursday evening I went back to the University of Reading to give a presentation to first year Real Estate students. Myself and five other alumni gave an insight into the different sectors of property. It was good to give something back to the university, to inspire new people coming into the industry. It was also a good opportunity to improve upon my presentation skills.
Towards the end of the week I received confirmation planning permission had been granted for a 24 hour gym and advertisement consent application I had submitted to Barnet Council. I led on this project and worked with the planning officer directly to ensure a positive decision was achieved and within the 8 weeks determination target. It's been a busy but very productive and positive few weeks.
