As the financial year comes to a close it has been busy busy busy here at Monties in the residential development team, but this is never a bad thing and I find it’s the best way to learn as a graduate.
Since my last blog Montagu Evans have been instructed to act as the sole agent in selling Bartley House in Hook and working on this project this has been great for my agency experience.
I have been heavily involved with the marketing for the site which has seen me help produce the brochure for the development opportunity and create an advert for the Estates Gazette. I have also been down to the site on my own to show around a number of the interested parties.
I have had the opportunity to help with a portfolio valuation for Cherwell District Council which involved valuing a wide variety of assets from retail units to a disused quarry. We have also recently been instructed to value a petrol station for the council which will be really interesting due to the specialist nature of the asset.
I have thoroughly enjoyed my time in the residential development team and everyone has been extremely welcoming. I have learn a huge amount in what is coming up to 7 months in this team and will be sad to leave. My next seat is with the secured lending team and I thoroughly look forward to experiencing a different side of the business.
