PRUPIM buys Bournemouth site

PRUPIM has bought a 378-bed student accommodation development in Dorset.
It bought the former car park on Madeira Road from Bournemouth borough council for £22.6m.
A deal has been agreed to let the site to the council for 26.5 years. On completion in September 2014, the council will lease it to the Arts University Bournemouth.

Barking green belt scheme approved

A major green belt housing scheme has been approved by the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham.
Ecogrove Homes has won approval to build 89 low-carbon homes on the green belt site, all of which are for private sale.
Each of the homes, of which 88 will offer five bedrooms, will be built according to Code for Sustainable Homes Code Level 6.
